038 - Behind the Scenes of Podfest Global; Setting GUINNESS World Records with Chris Krimitsos and Andrew Weiss

A global event taken virtually all the way to hitting GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS!

On this week’s episode I have with me the founder Chris Krimitsos and project manager Andrew Weiss of Podfest Global! Podfest is an extended annual event that brings together an international crew of podcasters of all levels to share and enjoy content created for the global podcasting community.

In this episode, Chris and Andrew share with me how Podfest all began and how they got to the point they are at today hitting world records for the largest global virtual event! The two of them are all about supporting people through a community and explain that treating people right is why they have grown and attracted people to their community so much. Their first virtual global event had about 320 speakers and 5,000 attendees. Now in 2021 taking on their second virtual global event, Podfest has over 520 speakers, in 8 different languages and 6,000 attendees!
